The IMO-Vega Database (Version 24)
The latest edition of is now available in two formats, namely, the Internet Subscription (SVEGA) and the Electronic download (Z24A). For further information, please see the What's new in Version 24? listing. Please note that the IMO-Vega on the Web version has already been updated to include these documents.
The IMO Bookshelf v5.11 now available
We are pleased to advise that a new version of the IMO Bookshelf software is now available for download from our website. This important update includes the functionality to move your e-reader licences from one computer to another. For full details, please visit the IMO Bookshelf web page.
Internet Subscriptions
We remind you that as from 1 January 2020, the renewal discount (50%) for subscriptions to SOLAS on the Web and MARPOL on the Web will no longer apply. All renewals taking place before that date will benefit from the renewal discount.
Please be advised that IMO Publishing will be discontinuing the IMDG Code on the Web subscription (S200E), Electronic IMDG Code for download (ZL200E) and IMDG Code for Windows CD (DL200E) products from 1 June 2020. For subscription users, any subscription taken out before 1 June 2020 will continue to be available until the expiry of their 12-month subscription, however, there will be no further updates to the product.
Instruments entering into force on 1 January 2020 From 1 January 2020, the "IMO 2020" rule means that the limit for sulphur in fuel oil used on board ships operating outside designated emission control areas will be reduced to 0.50% m/m (mass by mass) – while in designated emission control areas (ECAs) the limit will remain at 0.10%. A comprehensive collection of rules and regulations relating to IMO2020 has been brought together in the IMO2020 publication (I666E).
On 1 January 2020 the IMDG Code, 2018 Edition becomes mandatory for two years.
